Tedeska cartridges originate from a musician’s perspective.

Long before developing phono cartridges, the founder of Tedeska was trained as a professional classical guitarist. During his studies in Berlin, an exploration of early lute music sparked a deep fascination with historical interpretation and performance practice. Listening to vinyl records gradually became an essential part of this process, not least because it offered an accessible and affordable way to study important recordings.

Recordings by great interpreters revealed how subtle variations in tone and phrasing could profoundly transform the musical experience. This intense listening eventually sparked a curiosity about the playback chain itself.
